The occurrence of Landslides in Sukabumi is still ongoing
Pojok Fakta. A total of 15 victims of landslides in Cisolok Subdistrict, Sukabumi, West Java were found dead, Tuesday (1/1/2018).
Of the 15 people, as many as nine victims have been identified and recorded as residents of the Cimapag Hamlet, Sirnaresmi Village.
While six other victims were found by the search team at the location. It is only a matter of waiting for the evacuation, which this afternoon is hampered by heavy rainfall.
"As of this afternoon, 15 bodies have been found," said Commander of the 061 / Suryakancana Military Command, Col. (Inf) M Hasan during a press conference at the Disaster Emergency Response Post in Cimapag Hamlet, Tuesday (1/1/2019).
According to him, the latest update on the number of victims of the landslide indicated was buried as many as 35 people. Previously, it was reported that 41 people were buried by landslides.
"Because 15 bodies have been found, it means that there are 20 people still buried," he said.
"Of the 15 bodies found, nine bodies have been identified and six bodies are still on location, just waiting for the evacuation," he continued.
He said, today his party received assistance from two heavy equipment to facilitate evacuation. It's just that only one heavy equipment can enter the location.
"The weather has not made it possible for two heavy equipment to be moved at the location," he said.
Data from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sukabumi Regency said, the latest results Tuesday (1/1/2019) per hour 14:30 WIB, the number of houses affected up to 30 units of land was buried.
Dozens of houses are occupied by 32 family heads (KK) with a total of 101 people. As a result of the landslide, as many as 15 people were found dead and 20 people were declared missing, and three people were injured. While 63 people survived.
Previously reported, a landslide was reported in the Cisolok District, Sukabumi District, West Java, Monday (12/31/2018) evening.
This event took place around 17:00 WIB in Cigarehong Village, Cimapag Sub-District, Sirnaresmi Village. As a result of landslides that occurred when heavy rains flushed the Sukabumi area, it was reported that dozens of houses were buried.
It is not yet known for sure the total number of fatalities in this event.
