Terasa to Pangandaran, M 4.5 Earthquake Rattles Cilacap

Kolom Nasional. The magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook the Cilacap region, Central Java. The tremor was felt up to Pangandaran, West Java.

Reported through the official BMKG website, the earthquake occurred on Monday (1/7/2019) at 23.58 WIB. The epicenter was at sea about 69 kilometers southeast of Cilacap.

The magnitude of the earthquake coordinates was at 8.32 South Latitude and 109.09 East Longitude. The depth of the 11 kilometer earthquake was felt in Pangandaran on the scale of MMI II.

The vibration felt in Pangandaran is felt by the scale of II MMI (Modified Mercalli Intensity), which means that it is felt by some people, light objects are hanging swaying.
